As part of its statutory activity KPODR in Minikowo cooperates with many foreign partners. In the 90s of the twentieth century’s most important partners were the Danes, now this cooperation is much more extensive. Most foreign visitors can be seen at our annual fairs, especially during the AGRO-TECH® in Minikowo. We host not only representatives of companies – exhibitors, but also visitors from different countries. The most spectacular in recent years was visit groups from Turkey, Czech Republic, Serbia, journalists from various European Union countries interested in the reforms of the Common Agricultural Policy and the Ambassador the Republic of Angola.
In recent years, international cooperation is carried out mainly through the implementation of joint projects. Experience in the development of biomass energy were mentioned in the framework of the project „CoachBioEnergy” financed by the European Union – Fund of international cooperation for Central Europe. The project was coordinated by Fraunhoffer Institute of Leipzig, and attended by partners from Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Ukraine and Poland. These activities continued under the next project – „Q-Bicon” concerning the preparation of an international program of education advisers. Development of agricultural biomass, and funded by the Leonardo da Vinci program.
Extremely interesting and much-needed were international projects related to the protection of water quality of the Baltic Sea. Department of Ecology took part in the project “Beras IMPLEMENTATION”, which was attended by more than twenty partners from all Baltic countries. Many activities relating to management in areas vulnerable to pollution from nitrogen compounds and phosphorus carried out in several editions of the project BALTIC DEAL.
Interesting projects in the field of education and rural development were carried out also with partners from the Czech Republic.
Every year, several employees of the Centre and representatives of farmers and other customers also participate in trips abroad – mainly to European Union countries to exchange experiences and improve their competence.
